Tweet...Tweet... Rockin' Robin, Twitter
This morning I found an invitation in my email box from a fellow Active Rain member to Twitter.The first thing that came to my mind the musical gal in me was ....Tweet....Tweet.... Rockin' Robin. Now of course I heard of Twitter and read a few blogs on Active Rain about Twitter that supposed to bring family and friends together. Never took it seriously enough to consider until lately learning more about social media networking on a webinar held by Domus Consulting Group, which I currently attend every Friday for the next 11 weeks. So off, I clicked to Twitter's web site to check it out, listen to the intro video - Twitter in plain English. So, what are you doing? After listening to the video, my first question I asked myself.
What am I doing and who really cares, besides my family, what I currently do? But wait! There are a few more questions that popped into my brain.
- What does Twitter do for you from a Realtor® point of view?
- Would you mix business with personal?
- How often do you keep up with Twitter?
I understand that you can download various application be engaged on Twitter via SMS and join other social networking groups such as Facebook. I would say that I'm a regular blogger, always reachable by phone and email. Professionally, I'm a Realtor® first and wondering about the time involved to keep up with Twitter.
What's your take on Twitter - Tweet...Tweet Rockin' Robin?

I'm not sure how it would fit with activerain, but there are apps to send tweets each time you post. That lets people who follow you know when you've had a post. It's also good to send direct messages back and forth when running late for a meeting, etc.

Missy - I have not joined because I wanted to see some response to my questions from fellow Rainers. I had no idea that there is a Twitter group. I'll joined and I'll post it to this group. Thanks a million!
Robin! I use twitter all the time. It's a great service and let's folks know a bit about you and what makes you tick. Wrote a post on how it humanizes you in the eyes of clients, which I think you'll like.

Hi Petra...Love your Tweet Tweet Rockin Robin, I used this song too in my post on Active Rain Blogs ROCK..Twitter is about just being out there meeting and communicating.... people watch you, then call, it's just another bill board , take little steps and they'll turn into big ones...Like a total stranger calling you to list their home because they like of your profile and or Internet presence. Petra- Cute Post....one of my AR friends helped me set up a Twitter account. Like you I had read about it, but never did anything until I was pretty much shamed into not being on there LOL :) It's fun, and I found some really neet people that I might not have found otherwise.

Thanks for rockin my night, loved the song when it first came out, still do! I have considered myself fairly techno savvy up until joining AR and I am still trying to find my way here. Now I need to Tweet and be Linked too and I am beginning to feel like I did the first time I looked at an Apple 2GS..WHAT THE HECK is that and HOW can it help ME? :) I am in the Friday group but unfortunately have not had the chance to do the live call yet...I am hoping to join up with the rest of you soon though!

Love the video... I came to this one from one where you say "you get it" now... or something like that. It took me longer than the average person to get Twitter. I joined it in March 2007 and did not get it for months.
Maureen - The reason I joined Twitter is because of the Webinar I follow - It made sense to me to join after listening and now I really start to get the hang of it.
