Home At Last - Safe and Sound - Our Marine

Saturday was a very exicting day for our daughter Jeanne and her kids - our grandchildren, Amanda and Austin. After a six month deployment to Iraq, LCPL David Savage and his company, which is a Reserve Transportation Company stationed in Orlando, FL came home safe.

At this time, I would like to say "Thank you for their Serving and Thank you for their Sacrifice" to every member of this AR community. who have family and friends deployed overseas in places such as Afghanistan, Iraq, and anywhere else in the world. I can't wait until every Soldier in the Armed Services is home "Safe and Sound".

I too can't wait until they are all home, thankfully my friends that have gone and served in Iraq have all made it home saf and sound so far. It is great to have them back.

Thanks for serving. Our son is in Air Force Security Forces and is going to Italy, and we are thankful for that this Easter...he is coming home for a visit first next week.

Please give him my thanks for serving his country.  I am very proud supporter of our troops, even though I don't have anyone that is serving in the military at this time, I feel that as an American I owe my way of life to our brave men and women that serve in the armed forces.

Petra, thank your son-in-law for me - I know all too well how hard an Iraq deployment is - but boy those homecomings - just like Christmas!!! I hope he is home for awhile!!
