New Construction in my hometown - Kemnath Germany
In one of my recent posts I wrote about taking my business internationally. I've also wrote about visiting my family who I have not seen in three years. I love to take walks through my home town and see the changes that took place since I have left the first time in 1985.
Today, I want to share with you a few pictures of a new home construction site in my hometown Kemnath, Germany, where I once roamed around in the farm fields.
The basement - not possible in Florida to dig about 6 feet deep, you would stand in water
One Block at a time!

Hi Petra,
I lived in Germany for years, my mom is from Berlin. It's always kind of bittersweet going back to a place after so many years and seeing all of the changes. I could say the same about parts of Florida, compared to when i visited here as a child :).
One thing we have to agree on about houses in most parts of Europe...they are built to last!
Hi Petra - Glad you got to go back & visit your hometown! Would love to visit Germany one day!!
Petra- Germans built great cars and homes:) I love my Mercedes, it is the best car I have ever owned. And so was my father's Mercedes that he bought in Germany. Ah, and the chocolate! Bring back yummy hazelnut nougat. It has been a long time since I have been in Germany. Thanks for sharing. brings back memories. Katerina
