Yep, glad to see this info posted on the Florida Association of REALTORS Early Bird news. I put it on my Localism blog too and hopefully the residents that have incorrect values in our counties will see it. So many that may qualify wait too long.
Petra, great localism post for the people living in Polk County..hopefully, the homeowners will review their tax assessments.
Petra, I just saw this either today or yesterday and marked it to write a post. I would like to protest my property taxes because they still seem to go up even though my house has gone down in value. Excellent Localism post.
Hi Petra -- Good information to know. Our county auditors here are very busy these days with challenges.
Great timing - I just had this conversation with a friend yesterday.
Petra, this is good information for consumers to know they can legally protest their tax assessment.
Whne we appealed our own RE taxes it was VERY helpful to know what criteria the board uses in making a decision. We were using current comps and the man from the county was going back 2 years. Needless to say we got our reduction.
See you did not get a visit from my "friend". Ha, ha. Never heard back from her either. Was very nice talking to you earlier today. I am looking forward to our BBQ here in October. Why should the kids get all the treats?
Hello everyone - I'm glad you stopped by to comment - it is greatly appreciated.
Help spread the news in your state as well.
John - that is excellent that you received a reduction.
