Lakeland Florida First Friday August 6th, 2010 - "Dog Days of Summer"
"Dog Days of Summer" is one of the most visited events of Lakeland Florida's First Fridays and the Lakeland Downtown Partnership has planned "Dog Days of Summer" successfully for six years now. This free family event will be held August 6th, 2010 downtown Lakeland around Munn Park from 6-9pm.
It is all about your pooches.... so leash up your four-legged family member, the evening is filled with fun and activities for the whole family and your dogs to enjoy.
- Geodog Days of Summer and bandanas with your dog's paw prints at the General Store
- Brooke Pottery - dog themed jewelry, junkyard dog garden sculptures and more
- Lakeland Police K-9 dogs - help support LPD K9 unit
- Lakeland-Winter Haven Kennel Club
- up close and personal with rare breeds,
- Live Music & Improv Comedy
- Pooch Parade starts at 7:30 p.m. near Kentucky Avenue and Munn Park plus much, much more.....
Concerned about the hot weather....don't be! There will be plenty of water stations around and cool places in Munn Park for your four-legged friends to cool off. The SPCA and other dog groups will be there to lend a helping hand. Remember, Dog Days of Summer is in the evening from 6-9 p.m.
