The month of September kicks off another 50-week Farmers Curb Market in downtown Lakeland Florida on Wednesdays between 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays between 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Located on 200 N. Kentucky Avenue, right in front in the plaza of the Peterson Building you find so many different and unique products from over 25 vendors at any given day such as:
- fresh locally grown vegetables
- organic herbs, spices and teas
- bake goods
- plants
- homemade soaps
- Local crafts
Parking is easy too; Saturdays are free to park on the north side of Munn Park or the Bay Street lot as well as the yellow zone parking and in bank parking lots. Driving downtown to the Farmers Curb Market on Wednesdays please follow your parking limits of 2hrs in the yellow zone parking. There is ample parking available nearby in public parking garages. Also check out local businesses when you are Downtown Lakeland at the Farmers Curb Market.
I enjoy going to the Lakeland Farmers Curb Market on Saturdays, especially after getting a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich at Mitchells Coffee House nearby. C’mon down and support our local merchants, growers and artists. Take a stroll around Munn Park and enjoy the great Lakeland, Florida weather.

Hi Petra, I love farmers markets! Reminds me of home! Thanks for sharing the news of the Lakeland event, hope you too will be able to enjoy it!
Hi Petra...Our Farmers market are now finished, and you guys are getting cranked up for another 50 Weeks !...Wow.
Cheers, great post !
Petra I like these markets a lot and look forward to the day when my garden produces enough to take some extra to our local market.
Sylvia - My husband's last overseas duty station was Mannheim - A dreamer's Farmers Market - I used to drive there Saturday mornings shopping at the Farmers Market, go to a cafe, drink coffee and eat a cheesecake - yummy :). The Lakeland Farmers Curb market reminds me of it in small portions, lots of varieties, a great place to be :)
Fred - Lakeland only takes a break in August and now it is back. Got to love the Florida weather :)
Trey - Although I don't garden myself much, I do appreciate fresh vegetables that are coming from a garden. When visiting my sister in Germany, her garden is large and I love to harvest and eat what is in season.
This looks like such a wonderful place to shop for some great products. Makes me wish I lived close by.
Hi Petra! I was working on a post the other day, thinking that I really needed to do one on these markets before the season ends as I just LOVE to go to these! Your presentation is gorgeous and so are your photos!
Have a wonderful Wednesday...
Karl - Why don't you come here and I'll show you the Farmers Curb Market - Thanks for stopping by
Debe - Thank you for the compliment, you yourself do an outstanding job presenting Localism posts. Although our farmers market is small, it is a great place to be on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We have the pleasure of having a 50 week Farmers Market.
Thanks for the offer, but that's a long drive from New Jersey... and I already drove to Florida and back once this year.
