DiOGi Park - Lakeland FL Pet Friendly Hangout
Lakeland's pet friendly dog park is located in Loyce E. Harpe Park formerly known as Carter Road Park. DiOGi Park was opened up in 2007 in honor of fallen Polk County Sheriff Deputy Officer Matt Williams and his K-9 German Shepherd Diogi who were killed in the line of duty. Lakeland FL is a pet friendly city with our DiOgi Park, walking trails, and events for dogs, such as Dog Day's of Summer.
The dog park offers an awesome place to take your four legged friends off leash and run, run and play with other K-9s. The park has two fenced in areas for smaller dogs and larger dog breeds along with a covered areas to watch man's or ladies best friends. I enjoy going there with my dog Sassie and her friends (Koda & Kai) when they come down to visit. They get along really well.
The dogs can exercise on agility equipment, tunnels, teeter tots and much more. Plenty of water to quench their thirst or play in the water. Doggie clean up supplies are also available.
