It never seizes to amaze me by the impeccable talents and art rich programs Lakeland Florida has to offer. From the concert of local young musicians performing solos with the Imperial Symphony Orchestra, to exhibits of local artists at the Polk Museum of Arts and to the recent performance of Lear, Inc. presented by the Harrison School for the Arts, I'm certain that this upcoming theater performance will bring a smile to your face.

Oliver & DodgerLakeland Community Theatre is pleased to present "Oliver!," one of the most beloved musicals of all time, which vividly brings to life Charles Dickens' timeless characters with its ever-popular story of the boy who asked for more. "Oliver!" was the first Dickens work to be presented as a stage musical and is the classic story of the boy who runs away from an orphanage and joins a group of boys trained to be pickpockets by an elderly mentor. The sensational score is full of Lionel Bart's irresistible songs, including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You've Got to Pick-Pocket or Two, I'd Do Anything, Oompah-pah, As Long As He Needs Me and many more. 

Directed by Debi Morgan, the cast of over 60 includes this very talented group: Kris Brock as Oliver, Benedict Heaps as Dodger, Joe Strickland III as Fagin, Jaclyn Susa as Nancy, John Hatfield as Bill Sykes, Tom Mook as Mr. Bumble, Judy Smith as Widow Corney, Ed Frisbie as Mr. Sowerberry and Mr. Brownlow, Renee Reid as Mrs. Sowerberry, Sydney Watkins as Charlotte, Kawon Hunter as Noah, Laura Modrall as Bet, Allison Gibbes as Mrs. Bedwin, Seth Cox as Dr. Grimwig and Tammy Serebrin as Old Sally. The Orphans are Ainsley Alperin, Tom Bowers, Sydney Burroughs, Makayla Dorman, Carter Ferguson, Erin Kelly, Meghan Kelly, Drew Koon, Aidan Lipe, Kenady Luttermoser, Asher Mann-Romey, Avery Myers, Emma Myers, Chloe Prewitt, Emily Strickland, and Mally Vreeland. The Pick Pockets are Pamela Anglero, Mark Bacon, Zack Boothe, Amanda Curry, Carter Ferguson, Isabel Hardigan, Chandler King, Zain Mann-Romey, Connor O'Brien, Claire Pincket, Shaun Slachta, and Alyssa Wehle. The Citizens include Simon Cedeno, Rebecca Dabney, Sarah Hamilton, Jaz Hardy, Devon Jensen, Anna Jones, Jeannette Knauf, Kelly Kowalski, Makayla Morgan, Tom Palmer, Sydney Prewitt, Jeremy Procopio, Michael Simpson, Dan Slachta, Sophie Tantalics, Brad West and Vanessa Young.

Along with Debi Morgan as Director, the production staff includes: Musical Director Freeda Phifer, Choreographer Alex Jones, Assistant Choreographer Jessica McCarty, Fight Coordinator Jeff Luty, Set Designer Alan Reynolds, Technical Director/Sound Designer Roy Rossell, Assistant Technical Director Ben Stewart, and Light Designer Ted Smith. Costume Designers are Anna Wehle, Susan Curry and Tami Grove, Props - Lorraine Nardi and Julie Ashley, Stage Managers - Eileen Schofield and Kim Boothe, and Assistant Stage Manager is Alece Cox.
