Lakeland FL - First Friday "Dog Days of Summer" - Sep 2, 2011
 I have been a dog lover all my life and the "Dog Days of Summer" is one of my favorite and one of the most visited events of Lakeland Florida's First Fridays. The Lakeland Downtown Partnership has planned "Dog Days of Summer" successfully for seven years now. This free family event will be held September 2, 2011 downtown Lakeland around Munn Park from 6-9pm. It is all about your pooches.... so leash up your four-legged family member, the evening is filled with fun and activities for the whole family and your dogs to enjoy.
Concerned about the hot weather....don't be! There will be plenty of water stations around and cool places in Munn Park for your four-legged friends to cool off. Shops and restaurants are open late - outdoor dining is available at many restaurants to accommodate you and your pet. Stop by the Classic Car Show on Tennessee Avenue.
Meet my pooch - Sassie, she is 5 years old now and has us wrapped around her little paw because she gets a treat before she eats her breakfast :)
Remember, Dog Days of Summer is in the evening from 6-9 p.m.
